TMS320F28379D: VDD and VDDIO power-on sequence

Part Number: TMS320F28379D

Dear Champs,

I am asking this for our customer.

For LDO design,

In F2837x datasheet, it says in 8.9.1.3 VDD Requirements,

"During the ramp, VDD should be kept no more than 0.3 V above VDDIO"

On F28379D control card, we use TPS62420DRC from 5VDC to 3.3VDC for VDDIO and 1.2VDC for VDD together.

The user asks what if they user 5V -> 3.3V -> 1.2V?

In this case, 1.2V ramping is always later than 3.3V, which still does not violate "During the ramp, VDD should be kept no more than 0.3 V above VDDIO".

Therefore, "5V -> 3.3V -> 1.2V" can be used.

Is our understanding correct?
