TMS320F28384D: Program secured flash sectors.

Hi champs,

If Zone 1 password enabled, all flash sectors and LS RAM assigned to Zone 1. When we execute flash API on LS RAM(secured), is it necessary to unlock device before erasing / programming flash sectors?

I ask this question because according to TRM, software gets full flash access when executed inside secure memory. However, my customer needs to unlock DSP device first to program secured flash sectors without problem.

Hi Luke,

It is not necessary.

Can you check whether they configured the FLSEM Register (see details in TRM) as needed?

Thanks for your response. You are right, my customer didn't configure FLSEM register, this problem is resolved.

To double check, if FLSEM register is configured to Zone1, then the flash API executed inside Zone1 memory is able to erase/program unsecure flash sectors, we don't have to configure FLSEM back to non-secure zone before doing that, is it correct?

I think it is not necessary, is it correct?
