TMS320F280049: Access priority between CLA and CPU

Hello,

Because of the shortage of the DSC PN TMS320F280045PZS we are going to use the TMS320F280049PZS instead of the TMS320F280045PZS (Aeronautic design).

The main gap between both is the CLA. Could you tell how we could be sure than when desabled the CLA will not disturbed CPU accesses to any peripherals in any cases ?

Hi Pascal,

CLA makes accesses to peripherals only if code running on it makes access to peripherals. Since you are not using/configuring the CLA on F280049x, the CLA will never execute any code and hence never make any access to a peripheral.

Hi Ashwini,

Thanks for your answer. Could we find this either in a data sheet or technical reference manual ? For aeraunotic certification purposes (D0178 DAL B) we need official data to be relevant.

Hi,

I am assuming you are not enabling the clock to CLA on this (setting CLA1 bit in PCLKCR0 to '0' - default value) . If that is the case then as per definition of that that bit, CLA clock will be disabled hence CLA will not be functional.
