Hi i am using sci_ex3_echoback example code. Please answer some my questions.

1 . By default code is saving it RAM , then the code is working , but when i selected the flash for the program in ccs option, the program take long time to saving controller and does not work, why is it so?

2. When i am pressing the reset button on the eval board or power on off the board the program is not restarting , why is it so and how can i correct this ?

3. How can i increase the size of ram for the program and how can in increase the size of the flash for the program, because when am adding other peripherals in the code and code size is keep increases , it show error and indicate RAM is Overlapping with other section of the RAM.

Can you please try the flash configuration? Right click on the project, go to build configurations, select the flash version. After you select the flash configuration you should be able to debug the project as normal.

You mentioned the program was not running successfully in your first question, this could be part of the reason why. What are your boot mode pins set to on the launchpad?

You will have to make modifications to the linker command file (cmd) file. I will send your question to an expert in this topic to help you with this change.

HI,

For first question, I have used the flash memory for the program by same methos as you explained. But it is giving error and when i select the RAM then no error and program run correctly. Please find the attached screenshot for the error for FLASH memory.

2. Regarding my second question, i press reset button given on the launch pad but the program is not resetting and if i make it power on off the board the program is still not running, only one time program is running after flash. Please help with this issue.

3. Please connect us to concern team , how to increase the RAM and FLASH size for the program.

What cmd file are you using? Did you make any modifications to it from what the example was using?

Hi Vikas,

Please take a look at this link. It goes through the details on Linker command file. This is very good resource to get started.

Once you get understanding of Linker command syntaxes, please look into example linker command files that comes with C2000Ware sdk.

A team member was able to try the example (flash configuration) with no issues. Did you make modifications to other parts of C2000Ware or the project? I suggest doing a fresh install of the latest C2000Ware and trying again.
