TMDSDOCK28335: Docking Station Through-hole Connections

I'm using the TMDSDOCK28335 along with the docking station and I'd originally assumed that the through-holes were common with the adjacent I/O on the microcontroller (i.e. GPIO24 has a header pin connection and optional connections in the form of the remaining through-holes in the row).

I eventually found out that this was not true, but I am also not sure whether these holes are common with anything else on the board. Some cursory poking about with a multi-meter suggests that they have no connection, but is it possible for this to be confirmed? Can the rest of the through-holes to be used safely fit additional components?
