TMS320F280039C: InstaSPIN power measurement/calculation

Part Number: TMS320F280039C
Hello,
Is in InstaSPIN software (I based on universal_motorcontrol_lab) an already made method which computes input and/or output power of motor?

Best Regards,
Krzysztof

    Hello,
Does in InstaSPIN software (I based on universal_motorcontrol_lab) after set motorVars_M1.flagEnableRunAndIdentify to '1' and run motor control, switching it back to '0' stop ePWM (physical motor stop) or just disables state machine?
And in similar matter, does occurence of any failure (Over/Under voltage, unbalance etc.) also only stop control machine or shut down ePWM?
    Best Regards,
    Krzysztof
  • Hello Krzysztof,

Our InstaSPIN expert is currently out of office for the rest of this week, please expect a response back by Tuesday of next week.

  • Which inverter board are you using? Which build level are you working on?

What's value in motorVars_M1.faultMtrNow.all and motorVars_M1.faultMtrPrev.all when the motor stopped?

And in similar matter, does occurence of any failure (Over/Under voltage, unbalance etc.) also only stop control machine or shut down ePWM?

The over current or over/under voltage faults will trig the protection fault to stop the motor and disable the PWM output.
