TMS320F28035: Internal crystal oscillator tolerance and Clock difference between CPU timers

Part Number: TMS320F28035

Hi experts,

My customer wants to know Internal crystal oscillator tolerance and Clock difference between CPU timers in F28035. I can only find the Zero-Pin Oscillator Frequency Movement With Temperature, and it seems about +-4.25%. Is it right?

Do we have the value of clock difference between CPU times? For example, CPU timer0 and timer1 both time 100ms, and the actual timing may be longer for one and shorter for the other. So how long is the difference between the two timings?

Thanks and regards,

Jim

  • Jim,

Since these timers are fed from the same digital logic/clock, there will not be any difference in their output state due to timing.  All logic on the device is implemented to meet the maximum operating frequency of the device, so any local setup/hold timings are accounted for.  So even as the internal oscillator moves due to temperature the effect is the same on both timers in this example.  Any error related to 100ms would be from the internal oscillator tolerance, but would be the same from both timers.

    Best,

    Matthew
