TMS320F280049: EALLOW bit cleared by entering Tripzone ISR

Hi Team,

Good day. I am posting this inquiry on behalf of the customer.

"I have a problem with the trip zone. Every time the interrupt routine of the trip zone (EPWM1_TZ_INT) is called (triggered by a DCAEVT1 event), the EALLOW bit is cleared. So I have to set the EALLOW bit to be able to clear the flags (EPwm1Regs.TZCLR.bit.DCAEVT1 and EPwm1Regs.TZCLR.bit.INT) within the interrupt routine. Can you tell me what is the reason for this?"

What is the code doing from the time you last set the EALLOW bit to the time the ISR is entered?

Hi Nima,

Thank you for your prompt response. Please see the feedback from our customer.

The code does nothing during this time (empty while loop) and only waits for the interrupt to come, see the attached CCS project.

At the beginning of the ISR EALLOW is always cleared. You need to have it again at the beginning of each ISR if you wish to use EALLOW protected registers.
