TMS320F280025C: About PWM SYNCOUT signal

Part Number: TMS320F280025C

hi experts

     in 28002x TRM, I see two PWM SYNCOUT signal description.

    first in figure17-7, 2nd in 17-14. they are different from each other. so which on is correct?

thank you very much~

  • Hello Matt,

    They're actually the same! One is a zoomed-in version of the other. Here's both images side-by-side, with circles around the same spots in both;

    In figure 17-14, everything from the 'OR' and earlier in the logic chain is abstracted into being just from the ePWM, and the one-shot latch set signals are similarly simplified to only TBCTL2[OSHTSYNC]. Finally, figure 17-14 doesn't have the final signal being routed to 'Clear Register'. These changes are because figure 17-14 is supposed to explain in simpler terms that specific aspect of the system, while the earlier image is a larger, more complicated and thorough overview. However, they're both ultimately the same content.

    I hope that makes sense,

    Jason Osborn

  • ok, thank you very much~
