Hi Team,

Our customer wants to migrate the universal_motorcontrol_lab_f28003x to LAUNCHXL-F280049C but he encountered some problem: Please see his inquiries below.

1. What should I do with those Switch on LAUNCHXL-F280049C?
2. I followed the 3.3 Porting Reference Code to New C2000 MCU in the Motor Control SDK Universal Project and Lab but this chapter is too brief for me. Is there any document with more detailed instructions?

    Hi Danilo,

    Can you let me know what switches you are referring to specifically? Please allow me to look through the reference guide but I don't believe we have any other material

    Hi Peter,

    Our customer is referring to the switch in the LAUNCHXL-F280049C. Please refer to the encircled parts of the EVM.

    Hi Danilo,

    For migrating from the LAUNCHXL-F280039C to LAUNCHXL-F280049C, the boot mode, CAN, and EQEP switches function the same between both devices. The main difference is the SCI switches. On LAUNCHXL-F280039C, there is a single DIP switch with the muxing labeled on the board. For the LAUNCHXL-F280049C, there are three separate switches. One is used to control which pair of SCI signals are going to the XDS device (S8). The other two (S4 and S6) determine if the GPIO pairs are used for SCI to the XDS (ALT) or if they go to the booster pack headers.

    There is no other document for this migration on LAUNCHXL-F280049C. You may have to follow the common description in the lab user's guide to change the device configuration code in the hal.c and hal.h files according to the boards you used.

    And set the switches on LAUNCHXL-F280049C according to the GPIO and interface needed by the inverter board.
