TMS320F2800137: Problem occurs during debugging & Load program process

Dear Ti Forum,

we have a brand-new design with a TMS320F2800137 processor on it. Now we are trying to get it working, but we have troubles to flash the processor with the XDS110DAC2 debugger.

Interesting: Problem occurs during debugging & Load program process. always leads to the same error message:

C28xx_CPU1: Error executing PLL configuration algorithm. Operation cancelled. (0x0)
C28xx_CPU1: Perform a debugger reset and execute the Boot-ROM code (click on the RESUME button in CCS debug window) before erasing/loading the Flash. If that does not help to perform a successful Flash erase/load, check the Reset cause (RESC) register, NMI shadow flag (NMISHDFLG) register and the Boot-ROM status register for further debug.

Hi,

Pls provide the following information to help us debug this issue -

1. What is the CCS version that you are using?

2. Also provide the C2000 Device support version. You can find it by clicking on Help->About Code Composer Studio->Installation details.

Hi Babaji,

Please clarify a few questions:

1) Is this your custom board?

2) Does this happen on every device?

3) Are you able to load the code to flash successfully on a TI control card or launchpad?

4) If not to flash, are you able to load to RAM successfully?

Hi Babaji,

I will request our TIDM-02010E32 expert to guide you on how to configure the boot mode pins for wait boot on this board.

Once you try the wait boot, if it still does not resolve your issue, we will analyze further.

These two board have been tested, and the code can be loaded into the controller without any changes before the boards were sent to you.

You may try to bend the 3v3H pin and add a 1k(ohm) between SDI and GNDH pins on the 8-pin adapter board as attached picture, that can set the boot mode to the controller to the SCI/Wait mode when power on.

Hi Babaji,

Can you try below sequence once and see if that helps?

1) Do a debugger reset

2) Click on resume button and wait for a few seconds

3) Click on suspend button

4) Now try loading the image.
