Hello Team,

Posting on behalf of my customer:

I am looking to obtain a step file for the part TMDSDOCKH52C1.

I am designing a mounting scheme and need a CAD model of the microcontroller and its geometry to properly design housing, but I could not find a CAD model for TMDSDOCKH52C1 on the TI site. A simple STP file will do.

I actually do have two other questions regarding the board.

I have been looking but have been unable to find this microcontroller in another configuration. Are you aware of a different configuration of the same board, but designed for horizontal mounting instead of in a vertical daughter card set-up?

And then the second question follows up on that, in the current TMDSDOCKH52C1 configuration, or in the hypothetical horizontal mounting configuration, is there a list of connectors/adapters for this board?

To give you some background, we are designing with this card because it worked before in a mounted vertical daughter card configuration. But we need it to be no longer a vertical daughter card but instead, a horizontal separate card connected via a cable assembly. Hence needing the step model, and connectors and potentially find a more suitable configuration if it exits.

    I received an email communication saying that the design team does not have a step file. Is it possible they could export a step file for me? If not a DXF file will be enough info for me. Also, the email communication did not mention my questions regarding connectors for a cable assembly or a potential equivalent board configurations for horizontal mounting. Please let me know. Thank you.

    Unfortunately, we do not have the step file or a way to generate it.

    The controlCARD standard is always designed for vertical mounting. For this specific device, only the vertical mount board exists.

    Are you aware of any female to male connectors with cabling? The objective is to allow for mounting not directly on the board. I believe this board uses a DIMM100 edge style connector correct?

    I am unaware of an DIMM100 edge style cabling connectors.(if that is what you're asking)

    You are correct, this is a DIMM100 edge based controlCARD.
