TMS320F28388D: Ethernet bootloader

Hi,

Did someone manage to develop an Ethernet based bootloader for the F2838x family?

The solution i am looking for, is to send a firmware update from a PC to the CM over Ethernet, and that the CM will then transfer a firmware update to CPU1.

I know that similar questions has been asked before on this forum but i didn't find anyone mentioning that this has been accomplished.

Is there any chance TI will provide a solution for that?

Any help will be appreciated.

Timor,

Currently there is no plan to provide a Ethernet based bootloader.

Also, pls note that CPU1 is the master and it needs to assign the shared resources to the CM core.

This can be a software based bootloader that is preloaded once (via JTAG or serial) to the CM and CPU1 and resides at a different section of flash. Similar to how it was done in Stellaris and Tiva devices using the LMFlash Programmer.

If TI can provide an example code of the bootloader adopted from Tiva to the F28388 CM it would be very helpful.

As mentioned earlier, there is no plan to provide any such example.

Do you know if what I suggested is generally possible or am I going to face some technical limitation in implementing such bootloader?
