TMS320F28388D: Bit Band RAM Zone, detailed information

Hi expert,

We designed our control boards with F28388D.

We need more information about "Bit Band RAM Zone" like below.

What ram is it mapped on ?

However we do not get actual mapped area with 32Mbyte area

0x2200_0000 - 0x23FF_FFFF

Could you let us know which 1 MB are is same RAM space ?

Yes, it's mapped like this only. It's generic ARM feature.

RAM space available on system bus is available for this. So RAM space from 0x2000 0000 to 0x2008 6FFF is available in bit band region.

Thank you for your information.

I understand the specification on this chip.

The following RAMs support bit banding access with BIt Band RAM Zone.

0x2000_0000 to 0x2008_6FFF are mapped on 0x2200_0000 to 0x230D_FFFC.

For example,

0x2200_0000 -> bit[0] on 0x2000_0000

0x2200_0004 -> bit[1] on 0x2000_0000

0x2200_0008 -> bit[2] on 0x2000_0000

.....

0x2200_001C -> bit[7] on 0x2000_0000

0x2200_0020 -> bit[0] on 0x2000_0001

0x2200_0024 -> bit[1] on 0x2000_0001

.....

0x230D_FFF8 -> bit[6] on 0x2008_6FFF

0x230D_FFFC -> bit[7] on 0x2008_6FFF
