TMS320F28052: TMS320F28052

Part Number: TMS320F28052

Hi, I have an issue with my debbuger, an XDS110 debug probe connecting to the F28052 micro-controller.

I am able to connect to the micro and flash the program into it, but whenever I enable the micro to begin running an applicaton (Motor control), I lose connection to the microcontroller.

The following errorr is generated when that happens.

C28xx: Error: (Error -1135 @ 0x3F1438) The debug probe reported an error. Confirm debug probe configuration and connections, reset the debug probe, and retry the operation. (Emulation package 9.4.0.00129)
C28xx: Unable to determine target status after 20 attempts
C28xx: Failed to remove the debug state from the target before disconnecting. There may still be breakpoint op-codes embedded in program memory. It is recommended that you reset the emulator before you connect and reload your program before you continue debugging

Please help with what might be the issue.

  • Hi Kudra,

Are any of the pins that are being used for JTAG also being used for anything else? Do you have access to an oscilloscope? Could you try monitoring your JTAG signals when the disconnect happens to see if there is much noise from the motors?

    Best Regards,

    Ben Collier
