Need List of TI microprocessors with available "Class B" certification for IEC-60730

Hi,

We are building an IoT device for use with Distributed Energy Resources (DER) in the residential space.  Our device needs Class B software certification under IEC/UL 60730-1.  Does TI have a list of hardware microcontrollers which have available libraries that can be certified under IEC-60730, "Class B" software?  We were thinking of using something in the MSP430 family, but this CPU looks to be underpowered for what we need so we need to expand into another family.  We need at least 2 A/D converter, 3 serial port, DMA, MMU would be nice, and need to host an RTOS we can also certify under IEC-60730 Class B software.

    Hi Kip,

    The TMS570 or RM4x is a right device for you.

    Typically, IEC 60730 compliance for Class B compliance is achieved by software self-test to detect MCU failures and errors. With its hardware-based diagnostic features, Hercules MCU is designed to meet IEC 61508 requirements and can facilitate IEC 60730 compliance.

    Advantages of hardware-based diagnostic:

    –Higher coverage and faster fault detection time

    –Free up code space and processor bandwidth for application

    –Simplify certification process with less software
