TMS320F28035: User app in RAM for Flash API execution

May be it is different F28035 and F280049.

Hmmm, I think there is some confusion here, but the F28035 and F280049 are different flash technologies so perhaps that is why there is a difference.  The example for F2803x using the API stored in ROM is here C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_4_03_00_00\libraries\flash_api\f2803x\example_ccsv5

To be clear, there is only one flash bank on F2803x as well, so code cannot run from flash while programming the flash.  But in this case the API functions themselves(in ROM) can be called from code in RAM. No need to copy the API from ROM to RAM.

Is the Flash API embedded in the ROM on F28004x?

For clarity: For F28004x, we don't suggest to copy the flash API itself from ROM to RAM.  Functions that call the flash API should be moved to RAM if the erase/program operations are targeted on the same bank from which the application is executing.

Hi Matt,

one more questions: is the F2803x flash API blocking or non-blocking? If it is blocking then it wouldn't be necessary to run user application from RAM.
