TMS320F28386D: How to implement second boot procedure in CPU1 core

Part Number: TMS320F28386D

Hi,

I want to have two images(bootloader, application) in the flash of CPU1 core. After startup, CPU1 will run bootloader first, then enter application.

I also want to re-flash the application image in bootloader.

Is it possible with this chip? how to implement them? is there any guideline and example?

Thanks a lot!

In my case, the boot mode pins cannot be changed. It is always "Flash".

During startup, can I enter the bootloader first, then jump to the entry of application image? of course, before jumping to Application, the used peripherals in bootloader will be disabled.

I saw the last sentence in below paragraph in above document. I'm not sure if reset is needed to launch application.

Now that the application is programmed into flash, the flash kernel attempts to run the application by branching to the entry point that was transferred to it at the start of the application load process. A device reset is needed for this.
