TMS320F280039C: How to use PMBus in 0039Cc routine

Part Number: TMS320F280039C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Hi Team,

Customer wants to ask what should he do if he wants to add PMBus function in 0039c routine.

On 0039C there are PMBus's CTRL, alert, SCL, SDA, etc. Is it okay to pull these feet out of the connected PC and use the GUI of Fusion Studio Onilne?

Could you help check this case?

Thanks & Regards,

Ben

  • Ben,

Fusion Studio Online tool supports only UCD devices shown below. It doesn't support C2000 family of devices.

For C2000 devices, did you already check out 28003x_pmbus_target, 28003x_pmbus_controller example provided in <C2000Ware>\libraries\communications\PMBus\c28\examples

    Regards,

    Manoj

  • Hi Manoj,

there are four routine, what difference between them? I looked up UG and still have doubts.

Which routine should I use if I want to be able to monitor the input output and temperature of the voltage current, etc., as well as the Fusion Studio Online interface, and adjust the voltage value to the desired output?

Does the c2000 device have a dedicated GUI?

    Best Regards,

    Ben

  • Ben,

Unfortunately C2000 device doesn't have dedicated GUI.

PMBus communication stack example just shows how to achieve different PMBus protocols. It doesn't have code which shows how to monitor voltage, current or temperature. That would be proper system level use case example which we don't have.

    Manoj
