TMS320F280049 with a 25MHz external oscillator

On our connectivity board we mount a TMS320F280049 clocked with an external oscillator of 25MHz. However, according to the microcontroller datasheet, this is outside spec: allowed frequency is in range 2 - 20MHz. 

Considering that we do not use CAN bus on uC, is it advisable to change the external oscillator or can we live with that?

    Hi Marco,

    The crystal oscillator design in the F280049 device does not support external crystal that is beyond 20MHz operation.  Please select a crystal for your application that meets the 10-20MHz crystal requirement as listed in the datasheet.
