TMS320F28069F: Unlock the Device

Part Number: TMS320F28069F
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28069, UNIFLASH

Hello E2E Experts,

Good day.

I'm using in the different projects the microcontroller TMS320F28069.

It has happened several times that my device is blocked. I would like to have support for the device unlock procedure.
Keep in mind that at the program level, I don't set any password and sometimes due to programming errors the device is blocked.
I have about ten locked devices that I would like to recover.

I'm using the BlackHawk XDS100V2. I cannot modify the hardware.
So I can use uniflash in order to unlock the device?

How can modify the hardware?

I sent you pictures of the connection.... don't take care of the value of the resistor. But only their presence.

Regards,

CSC

  • Keep in mind that at the program level, I don't set any password and sometimes due to programming errors the device is blocked.

If your project does not have passwords but your device appears to be locked, it is likely that the device is inadvertently locked. The datasheet warns about this condition (see page 41 of www.ti.com/lit/SPRS698): Any brownout or interruption to power during erasing/programming could potentially corrupt the password locations and lock the device permanently.

Unfortunately, your devices are locke with some random passwords and cannot be recovered.

So I can use uniflash in order to unlock the device?

    No.
