High magnetic fields of up to 8 Tesla

Hi Team,

I would like to know if the C2000 family of microcontrollers is designed to operate in high magnetic fields of up to 8 Tesla? I could not find this information on TI.com

Would you kindly confirm? If yes, can you please recommend a part number that can handle 8 or 7 Tesla?

Marvin,

we don't specify a Magnetic field immunity in the datasheet. Devices do see commonly some magnetic fields, but 8 Tesla is, well, a lot.

Give me a day or two to see what information I can dig up. Understand that there are many factors a play.

I have been reassured that this level of magnetic flux will not cause issues with the device. Please note that this does not guarantee that there are no other sources of EMI. e.g. PCB layout which can pick up noise and cause issues like toggling the XRSn line or just generally corrupting GPIO inputs/ Analog pins.

These concerns however are not related to the device, but general system design challenges which will always be experienced in a system such as this.
