TMS320F28034: DSP cannot function properly

Part Number: TMS320F28034

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

Project: Motor Control Applications for TMS320f28034PGA-LQFN64.

The on-chip watchdog is on and all unused interrupts are for(;;). During normal system operation, the DSP suddenly stops, shuts down all outputs and neither runs nor restarts. The oscilloscope monitors the 3.3 V, 1.8 V supply without significant abrupt changes. However, it can be seen that the 7-pin XRS has reached a low level of approximately 900 us when it is shut down, please see the red arrow below:

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry

  • Cherry,

So even though the WD has been enabled, the device goes into some state where even the WD is unable to pull the device out of that state. 900 us does not correspond to a WD-initiated reset, which should be around 51.2 us. Could you share the schematics with me privately (by email)? Even if you are unable to share the full schematics, if you could share the circuitry connected to all the MCU pins, that would be helpful.
