Hi Team,

There're some issues from the customer need your help:

I have some issues when I use CCS and UIA about SYS/biose analysis tools.

Goles： Analyzing the Execution Sequence with RTOS Analyzer

1.1 The versions of the APP:

CCS	CCS v11.1.0.00011
Compiler	C2000 Compiler v21.12.0.STS
XDCtools	XDCtools v3.62.1.16.core
SYS/BIOS	SYS/BIOS v6.83.0.18
UIA	uia_2_30_01_02
Target	ti.targets.C28_float

1.2 The configuration of the UIA "Logging Setup"

2.0 The abnormal phenomenon

Received exception from ROV:server Target memory read failed at address :0x04, length :26,This read is an

INVALID address according to the application's section map .The application is likely either unintialized or corrupt.

I can not get messaage from the "RTOS Object View " "Records". See the up picture.

2.2

But when the debug is running for 3 senonds ,then hold the debug , it will get some messangs . See the bellow picture.

Could you help check this case?

When are you seeing the issue in the image 2.1? Is it happening before the code runs? If so, I think that's normal--see this thread:

Is the ROV BIOS Scan for Errors tab showing any issues?

Hi Whitney,

I don't think this is the same problem. I encountered it during the debug operation. After running for 1 minute, it stops with this error.

Were you able to check the Scan For Errors tab? Did it show any issues?

Unfortunately we're pretty limited in what support we can provide for UIA. We're no longer actively maintaining it and there's not much expertise on the subject within the team.

Break at address "0x3fe2ed" with no debug information available, or outside of program code.

I think that's wait boot in the boot ROM. You can double check by loading the ROM symbols:

[c2000ware installation]\libraries\boot_rom\f2837xs\revB\rom_sources\ccs_files\cpu01\Release\F2837x_cpu01_bootROM_REVB_Golden_020314.out

And then when CCS asks you to "Locate File," you can point it to:

[c2000ware installation]]\libraries\boot_rom\f2837xs\revB\rom_sources\F2837x_bootROM\cpu01-bootROM\source

And that should show you where in boot ROM it stopped. Regardless, something is causing a reset. Can you check the reset cause register?

Also to be clear, I was asking about the "Scan for Errors" tab in ROV found in the BIOS section.
