TMS320F28388D: In debugging, NMI interrupt function can not stop by break point.

Hi

In F28388D,When not debugging (standalone) is all ok.

But in debugg , And set break point in NMI interrupt function ( : Interrupt_nmiHandler() in driverlib).

This break point is not work.

I think NMI enable bit(NMICFG.NMIE) is set by Boot ROM , So standalone is OK.

But debugger does not know "NMI was enabled" , So when debugg, CCS think NMI must be disable in emulation and NOT stop breakpoint in NMI interrupt function.

Is my perception correct?

 P.S.

If NMICFG.NMIE is set in main(), breakpoint works good in debugging.

Thanks,

GR

With debugger connected, are you not running the boot rom ? You need to issue reset and click on run so that BOOT CODE runs and jumps to application. Make sure you set the proper emulation boot (at address 0xD00, refer emulation boot section in device TRM) before clicking on "Run".

  • Hi Vivek,

    I will try emulation boot.

    Thank you to your support.
