TMS320F28069F: InstaSPIN-FOC throughs short circuit error

Part Number: TMS320F28069F

Greetings! I have a frequency inverter based on TMS320F28069F and InstaSPIN-FOC lab05a, torque control. So I have id my motor and everything is working just fine. The problem is sometimes after the inveter is powered on and a command is applied after a few seconds it throughs a short circuit error. After restart everything is working just fine. It happens rarely after the inverter wasn`t working for a long time. It is a real short circuit signal(FAULT sygnal stays low).  I tried to increase the dead time - no luck. Have you ever monitored this problem? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

  • That could be related to the hardware or device configuration. You may try to capture the PWM output signals and the current waveform when there is a short circuit signal. If there is no any over current signal on the motor phase or power line, the short circuit signal should be related to the gate driver you used.
