TMS320F28386D: Memory allocation units bug

Part Number: TMS320F28386D

When I use the CSS memory allocation to check the memory usage.

I found that the units of memory is bytes, but when ceck the datasheet of TMS320F28386D, actually it shall be two bytes.

It will confused the guy who use the memory allocation.

Is there somewhere need setting before use the CSS memory allocation?

Hi,

All the size information from compiler side is in terms of the smallest addressable units.

sizeof() function, length mentioned in linker cmd, map file etc are all in terms of 16 bits.

But the first picture shows bytes???? CSS shows the wrong unit.

Yes, I will report this to CCS team to get this corrected. In fact it is in terms of smallest addressable units.
