Hi Experts,

Good day. Seeking your assistance on this query:

I am using a TMDSHVMTRINSPIN to control an induction motor using the motor control block set and C2000 hardware package in Matlab, the serial communication with the f28069 card stops when i open the power supply dc source (I am using an external power DC supply).

Can you recommend any solution?

Hi,

If noise in the USB cable is causing the problem, then you could try using a USB cable with ferrite chokes.

Are you using the onboard XDS100?

Yes, the customer is using XDS100.

Hi Ben,

The customer is using USB connector on the F28069 Miso Card.

Should he use the Jtag Emulator instead of the card connector?

Hi Artzy,

It might be helpful to use an standalone JTAG Debug Probe, but I am not sure. Unless the customer already has a standalone JTAG Debug Probe, it is probably cheaper and easier to try a special USB cable first, as I mentioned before.

Is it possible for the customer to monitor the JTAG signals with an oscilloscope to see what happens when their device disconnects? Maybe trigger a capture at some voltage level higher than 3.3V to see if there are any unexpected voltage spikes? This would help us determine if the issue is with the JTAG signals or the USB signals.
