Hello experts,

I need your help to understand the calculation of speed (see picture).

No. 2: It is the calculation of the speed in [pu] from the angle difference. Is it correct?
No. 1: I absolutely did not understand here why you have to do something like this and if the speed is still correct afterwards.

Hi Bui,

For circle 1, the angle is represented in radians in pu, and the "if...else..." statements adjusted them between [-0.5, 0.5].

For circle 2, it is part of the low-pass filter operation.

Good morning Teng,

thank you for the feedback.
From the program flow it was already clear to me that circle 1 adjusts the variable Tmp to the range (-0.5 ... +0.5). But I don't want to ask about that. I want to know why you do something like that and if the result of the velocity calculation is still correct afterwards or not.

Hi Bui,

Do you have CONTROLSUITE downloaded on your computer? Within folder "ti\controlSUITE\libs\app_libs\motor_control\math_blocks\v4.3\~Docs", the document "DMC MATH_v13.1.pdf" explains all the modules. At Page 133, the "SPEED_FR Technical background" has a detailed illustration on the speed calculation.
