TMS320F28388D: Free RTOS support for F28388D

Hi Rakshith,

FreeRTOS port and examples for F2838x (C28x and CM side) is available in C2000ware\kernel\FreeRTOS folder

Please use FreeRTOS since TIRTOS will not supported for F2838x and next devices in the C2000 family

Further to the above, I was unable to make core selection in the Project properties window for FreeRTOS C2000ware examples. Could you please throw some light on how the core selection is made in these projects??

I believe this is a Sysconfig based project. You can change the device in Sysconfig

Thanks for the reply Veena. I could see I can change device and context(core) in syscfg project. I also needed to know how do we do this in non-syscfg project. For example "freertos_ex1_led_blink_cpu1" project in C200ware. In this project also, I'm unable to switch cores from project properties.

Also could you please throw some light on whether FreeRTOS for F28388D is TI's official port?? What's extent of support that we can get on FreeRTOS used in C2000ware??

For non-sysconfig projects, you can change it in project settings (Image you shared earlier)

Yes, FreeRTOS will be officially supported for the C2000 devices in C2000Ware.

Regarding the non-sysconfig projects, I'm unbale to change the cores in Project Properties (Attached image). 

For example, for nonsysconfig project "freertos_ex1_led_blink_cpu1", if I right click on project and open the project properties, I see the dialog as in below image. Could you please help on how can I change core in this project??

It looks like Sysconfig is enabled in the project. We recommend Sysconfig way of changing the devices as it can take care of other aspects of migration such as pinmux etc.

You can add an empty sysconfig file and change the device.
