TMS320F280025C: How can I learn a maximum pwm frequency of my microcontroller?

Part Number: TMS320F280025C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG, C2000WARE

Hi TI experts

I am working on a power electronics projects nowadays. I am using F280025C mcu. In my project, I have to produce 66khz frequency pwm signals. But I came across a some errors. So How can I learn mcu's max pwm frequency?

Thanks..

  • Hi Ahmet,

The latest version of C2000Ware includes a clocktree tool built into SysConfig that is very useful for determining the max/min frequencies for various clocks on the device. EPWMCLK is equal to SYSCLK on F28002x. Your PWM frequency ks equal to TBCLK divided by your chosen EPWM clock dividers. The max SYSCLK frequency on F28002x is 100 MHz, so a 66 khz frequency is reasonable.

Let me know if you have any other questions on using the clock tree tool or configuring the EPWM clock dividers.
