Can i use TI-RTOS for TMS320F28388D, if so can you share me any training material for it.

    TI-RTOS does not support F2838x devices. The TI-RTOS kernel (SYS/BIOS) does support F2838x, however, we don't recommend SYS/BIOS for new projects anymore. Our recommended RTOS is now FreeRTOS. You can find it in the kernel directory of C2000Ware.

    Hi Whitney,

    We're evaluating the use of the TI-RTOS kernel on the 28388D as well.
    May I ask why TI no longer recommends using SYS/BIOS for new projects?
    Are there any additional resources available on this topic?

    Besides, we are currently testing the IWR6843 example that includes SYS/BIOS tasks.
    Should we modify this example to use FreeRTOS instead?

    We have no plans to make further updates to SYS/BIOS--no bug fixes, no new features, no support for new C2000 devices, no compatibility with newer versions of CCS--so support will be pretty limited.

    This is the recommendation for C2000 devices. I would think the guidance for other TI parts would be similar, but you may want to post to the IWR6843 forum to confirm.
