RST3  Software test of reset

The description from safety manual, it seems shall the two steps.

The first step:  Check the reset cause register

The second step:  Perform the peripheral test according to the reset cause to check if the peripheral  reset function worked as intended

But this safety mechanism seems have quite big scope.

Am I right?

Is there any example provide from IT?

  • Yes, it sounds like you're understanding it correctly. I expect you can be selective about what peripherals/registers you actually need to check. Also note that RST10 is basically the same thing, but it points out the SIMRESET feature.

We don't have an example demonstrating this.
