LAUNCHXL-F28379D: Issue with DAC

Hello E2E community,

I need to monitor some signals from a Simulink file in external mode on an oscilloscope using the DAC block from the Launchpad F28379 library. I attempted to connect it; however, when I begin generating code with the DAC connected, the external mode is terminated.

I was wondering if any one could help out with this.

I have attached a screenshot of the component

Thank you for your patience.

To debug this issue, try these solutions:

1) Put a scope on the DAC pin (Pin 30 on connector J3 is using the Launchpad).

2) Use other DAC instances, for instance DAC B.

Note that you can view the output in Simulink itself. In Simulink, configure a GPIO Pin as input pin by using a Digital Input library block. Then on MCU board you can short DABOUTB pin and configured GPIO input Pin. Now with “Monitor and Tune” feature on Simulink, you should be able to view the DAC B output.
