TMDSHVMTRINSPIN: TMDSHVMTRINSPIN and 28335 module

Part Number: TMDSHVMTRINSPIN
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSCNCD28027F, TMDSCNCD28069MISO, , CONTROLSUITE

Hi, support team

My customer has the questions as follow:

"We have bought a High Voltage Motor Control Kit (TMDSHVMTRINSPIN) to control a permanent magnet synchronous machine. The kit was supplied with two control cards, the TMDSCNCD28027F and the TMDSCNCD28069MISO. I would like to know if the kit is compatible with the 28335 module.
Our intention is to control the machine using a self-defined controller using the F28335 control card, but we are not sure if the pinpout is compatible with the master card of the kit."

Thanks so much.

Best regards,
Yuki

  • Yes. You can find the F28335 control card files in controlSUITE. Your customer may refer to the schematic to design their own board or use this control card direcly.

  • Hi Yanming

    Thank you for your reply.

I connected the F28335 control card to the TMDSHVMTRINSPIN but two LEDs of the kit turn on immediately. This is the same issue reported at e2e.ti.com/.../tmdshvmtrpfckit-with-28335-is-faild. This is the reason why I am not sure about the compatibility of the kit with the F28335.

I have seen that controlSUITE provides specific software to run the HVMTRPFCKIT with the F28335. This kit seems similar to the TMDSHVMTRINSPIN kit, but, can the projects provided by controlSUITE be directly launched to the TMDSHVMTRINSPIN? Is there any difference between both kits?

    Thank you for the help.

    Best regards,
    Yuki

  • There is no different between HVMTRPFCKIT and TMDSHVMTRINSPIN for the motor control example project in controSUITE. You just need to check if the example codes can work well as shown in the application note. To check the PWM output and ADC sensing.
