TMS320F28379D: Relation between DC bus and Maximum motor speed

Hi

We notice that if not enough dc bus is given the speed of the motor will be capped, Could you explain the relation between the two?

For example:

Lets say I set my base speed to 250 Hz(3750 RPM for 8 pole motor)

And for 30v dc bus, if my speedRef is 1.0 pu, it reaches 3750 RPM.

But now if i reduced the DC bus to , say 20v, I will not be able to reach 3750RPM, even if the speedRef is set to 1 pu.

Could you kindly explain the relationship between dc bus and maximum speed achievable?
