TMS320F280025C: How to use DAC

Hello,

I am trying to implement DAC using this chip to output a desire analog voltage on simulink. I know it has to program through CMPSS block, but the output of this block only gives me 1 and 0. How can I use this block as DAC that I can get a desire analog voltage? Can you guild me through?

Here is what I have on my simulink.

I use the help button to get more information about this block, but after reading it I am still confused on how can this work. Aslo It says that that second input pin (which is the negative input) can be the DAC module but it is not working as expected.

Hello Yun,

As you can see in Figure 16-1. CMPSS Module Block Diagram from TMS320F28002x Real-Time Microcontrollers Technical Reference Manual, the inverting pin of comparator module can come from either a pin or DAC. You can use DAC to give a voltage to the negative input of the comparator. That being said, in this device, you can't use the DAC to generate an analog voltage on the pin.
