In the TMS320F28x7x_Quantitative_FMEDA.xlsx, there is no fault mode of each Device partition subpart.

Aslo no classfication for fault mode, such as  single point fault, dual point fault , safe or no effect  selection.

Does TI intened that each Device partition  which selected as safety related means that default as single point fault?

  • I am following this question, any TI expert could help?

  • There is no TI expert reply this question?

  • Apologies for the delay in response.

The custom Diagnostic tab lists the design sub-part hierarchy with brief description of the functionality of the same. The detailed failure mode at system level need to be determined based on functionality.

The Type column in the same tab provided information if the type of the failure mode. The 'pd' and 'mem_pd' are for diagnostic modules that can result into dual-point failures. The remaining ones will result in a single-point fault.

Safety-related will be taken into the calculation of the metrics. Based on the 'Type' it will contribute to SPFM or LFM.

The ISO26262_Summary tab shows the result of calculation of the each design part/sub-part according to its classification.

  • I did not see the LFM in the Details-ISO26262, only see the SPFM of each sub-part.
