TMS320F28386D: Reprogramming CPU1 and CM flash by Ethernet link

Hello,

I am developing software for a TMS320F28386D microcontroller. I am using the MII interface for Ethernet dialog.

I am reprogramming the CPU1 flash as well as the CM flash using the XDS110 probe.

My client wants to be able to reprogram CPU1 and CM flashes ONLY with the Ethernet link (and not with JTAG).

Do you know if it is possible ?

Hi,

I don;t think this is possible. CPU1 is the master core in F28386 device and it has to perform the basic initialization of the device including the clocking and GPIO settings should be done by the CPU1 application. Further CPU2 and the CM cores must be booted by the CPU1 application. And also , ethernet is only accessible from CM core.

Ok, I understand it's not possible to reprogram F28386 with ethernet link.

I will look for another solution.
