LAUNCHXL-F2800137: Error 1015 @ 0x0

Hi Team,

A customer purchased 4 LAUNCHXL-F2800137 last May and two of the board encounters the error 1015 @ 0x0.

Upon further investigation, I found that the TPS7A3701DRVR (U101) on the board is heating more than usual and no 3.3V is supplied.

Can you confirm that the EVM is dead and is good for replacement?

It sure looks like the LP is faulty. As a sanity check you may want to have your customer confirm all jumpers/switches are set to their default position. This should be documented in the user guide.

Were the boards ever working properly? Or were they faulty upon arrival?

No the boards were working fine but suddenly stopped after dumping the codes.

Marvin,

OK, I'm not sure how programming or erasing the device could cause such issues. Please have the customer request replacements for their two faulty boards following the procedure below. They can reference this E2E post if needed for the replacement process.
