Hi, I am using the DRV8323 as a motor driver alongside the F28027f to drive this motor (https://store.tmotor.com/goods-856-RI50+KV100.html). I've followed the setup guide that is provided on the product page to set up INSTASPIN for the drv8323 and I was running lab 2b to go through the motor identification process and to spin the motor. Running the motor at 24V power supply. However during the motor ID process the motor does not spin and only vibrates, this vibration only increases when i start to run the motor at 200rpm.

what's baffling is that i've tried the same driver and motor on the F28379D using a simulink solution and the motor works perfectly fine, but i would like to move away from using such a solution.

Hi,

Are you using the LaunchPad and Boosterpack, or are you using a custom PCB? Have you already verified Lab01b "Open loop control for hardware integrity verification" and Lab01c "Closed current loop for signal chain verification"? I would suggest verifying those with your hardware if not already done.

when im running lab1b im not able to observe the gDacData variable, is this a separate module that is not included with the f28027f or am i mistaken. since im not quite sure how i would be able to verify these labs. i'm using the launchpad and boosterpack

another note when i was measuring the PWM signals during runtime was that they were in phase which is most likely why the motor was vibrating.

Is gDacData declared with global scope? It needs to be global to view in expressions window, if that's how you're wanting to view it.

They're in phase when running lab1b? Does the motor spin in lab1b open-loop control?

Hi, the motor does not spin in lab 1b just vibrates back and forth, but i did switch over to a different motor and lab2b ran well so it could just be a motor issue

Hi,

For Lab 1b, did you update the Volt/Hertz profile for your motor? See parameters below:

If the values you set are correct for your motor and you still experience issues, then it may be an issue with your motor like you mention.
