TMS320F280025: Question on Compensation Coefficients

Part Number: TMS320F280025
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDM-DC-DC-BUCK, POWERSUITE, SYSCONFIG

Hi expert,

Customer is evaluating our 280025 referring to TIDM-DC-DC-BUCK. They wonder in DCL DF22/23, how the compensation coefficients B0 B1 B2 A1 A2 been calculated? Thanks!

Joyce

  • Hi expert,

    Any updates?

    Thanks

  • Hi Joyce,

Thank you for your patience. Allow me to deep-dive into this to see if we have internal documentation on these values. Typically this is available in our test report with accompanying equations and I will look to provide that

    Regards,

    Peter

  • Hi Joyce,

These coefficients are derived from our Compensation Designer tool which is included in powerSUITE (but this tool is no longer being maintained in favor of DigitalPowerSDK). You can access the Compensation Designer tool from the buck_F28004x project once imported into CCS by going into the main.syscfg menu. This will open up our SysConfig GUI interface. If you change the Lab to use Lab 2 with closed loop voltage mode control. You will see the RUN COMPENSATION DESIGNER button. Pressing this will launch the Compensation Designer application which you can use to verify the generated constant values and adjust per your set up. Below is an image of the generated constants from the tool matching those in the standard library code

    Regards,

    Peter
