TMS320F280039C: Input X-BAR selection for Embedded Pattern Generator

Hi Team,

What is the register field for the EPG input X-BAR selection?  For example, for how can we select Input X-BAR 14 as an input to EPG (EPGIN0 - EPGIN7) peripheral? Also, how many Signal generator modules (SIGGEN) are available in F28003x/F280013x/F280015x?

    Hello Chaitanya,

    For F28003x, INPUTXBARs 13-16 are connected to EPGINs 0-3 respectively. You can see this mapping in the input crossbar chapter of the TRM. EPGINs 4-7 are unused/reserved on this device. For any device, please refer to the crossbar chapter to see how the crossbar outputs are connected to specific peripheral ports.

    For F28003x, F280013x and F280015x, there is one SIGGEN module present. Future devices will have an additional SIGGEN module.

    Hello Ibukun,

    Thank you for answering to my questions. In the Chapter 11: Crossbar (X-BAR) of TRM for TSMF28003x it is mentioned that INPUT 13-16 are connected to EPGIN1-4 respectively. You have mentioned that INPUTXBARs 13-16 are connected to EPGINs 0-3 respectively. Could you please confirm which of these is the correct connections?

    Also in TRM for TSMF280015x it mentioned that ",EPGOUTx signals can be connected to GPIOs through the Output XBARs and CLB Output XBARs". But I couldn't find CLB chapter in TRM for TSMF280015x.

    Hello Chaitanya,

    The EPG connections for INPUTXBAR F28003x are EPGIN[0-3]. The table needs to be corrected; I will file a documentation ticket.

    F280015x does not have CLB, so I will file a documentation to update that statement as well.
