TMS320F280049C: Insta-SPIN GUI connection issues

Following the instructions listed on https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slou552/slou552.pdf?ts=1688548007072&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com%252Ftool%252FDRV8311HEVM I'm trying to interface the DRV8311HEVM with the  LAUNCHXL-F280049C board through the GUI. However, I get a connection error even after installing the TI extension as well as the TI Cloud Agent. I've attached a screen shot of the error message within the GUI.

    In your second picture of the LaunchPad, was the board plugged in? Just want to confirm that the power LEDs are lighting up when you plug it in and there doesn't seem to be any issue with the USB cord or connector. Here's the LaunchPad User's Guide if you want to check your set up, although as far as I can tell from the picture, the jumpers and switches seem okay.

    Do you have CCS installed? Are you able to connect to this board through CCS or have you only tried this GUI?
