TMS320F28069: Why CLA is rarely used in reference designs.

why the usage of CLA is vary minimum even within the TI reference designs. support questions are also very hard to find. Seems like TI doesn't encourage the usage of CLA.
Personally, i think it is a great feature, and it comes in handy when developing a power converter. I have recently started trying the CLA because my main CPU exhausted with background tasks.
And when i do research, i found that the support is very low. Training is also providing some basic stuff just to run a simple code in CLA and that's it.
it's very hard to find what to do when, CLA program ram ran out, how to use copy tables with CLA etc. I didn't find any reference designs to refer.
Hard to understand how the MMEMCFG and MVECT1 works (offset with program start and all).
Can someone give me a good refence to find some answers to these problems?

Hello, The F2806x was one of the first device families with the CLA. The number of system examples may have increased since then for devices supported in the digital power SDK and motor control SDK.

For your specific questions:

You are probably already aware of the CLA SW Development Guide https://software-dl.ti.com/C2000/docs/cla_software_dev_guide/index.html
There is an application note that describes a technique using copy tables to overlay code: www.ti.com/lit/SPRAA46 The only real specific for CLA would be to make sure the CLA is not using, or will need to use, the memory before the C28x makes the copy and updates the vectors. This can be done by disabling CLA tasks (MIER) and then checking MIRUN to see if all tasks are running.
The Technical reference manual (TRM) for your device describes the MMEMCFG and the MVECT register. For the 2806x family this is www.ti.com/lit/SPRUH18. There is an initialization sequence in the CLA chapter that may help to clarify both of these. The MVECT register description includes an example of the content of the register given a starting program address.
