TMS320F280025: ComputeCntrSeedValue() change in c2000ware f28002x_sysctrl.c

Part Number: TMS320F280025
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Dear Champs,

I am asking this for our customer.

In below figure, it's void ComputeCntrSeedValue(Uint32 base, float fclk1_0ratio, Uint32 tolerance) in f28002x_sysctrl.c in c2000ware.

On the left side, it's from V3.02 and on the right side it's from V4.03.

Questions:

1. Why did TI modify it?

2. Because the user's product just starts production and they found this difference, they are asking if and how this difference affect?

Is the difference only related to tolerance, which only somewhat affects DCC detection time during initialization?

Or is there any influence during runtime?

Please help clarify if and how this difference matters.
