TMS320F28379D: XDS100V2 onboard probe communication

I have a problem for connecting to the respective launchpad using the USB port to the XDS100V2 onboard probe.

Windows recognizes the board but after connecting nothing else happens and apparently no driver is installed. LEDs D7 and D8 light shortly after connection in blue and read, respectively, and D1 keeps lit in green. But no demo application is started nor LEDs 10 and 11 blink showing device is not active. S1 is positioned in up-up-down and also tried with J1 open and plugged, as advised by your support.

Please let me know how to proceed further.

Hi,

So you are able to connect to the device? Have you tried loading a program to either core? Could you please post a screenshot of your debug panel after you connect?

Hi, I could connect and solved the initial problem. Already compiling and trying to load a program now. Have some problems on linking but due to SW. Not a HW issue.

Hi Ben,

I did not try any example. I have an application running on a F23355 and want to run the same on the F28379D.

I could build all sections but still have some problem linking the communication parts. There is some conflict on variable definitions on the code. The compiler still references to the old 28355 path and get in conflict with the new path for the 28379. Seems more like a SW problem but if you may have a hint on this would be nice.

Hi,

I'm not sure what could be causing an issue with variable definitions. Do you know which specific lines are causing your problem? If not, could you try using a C2000WARE example, then slowly including pieces of your program until you encounter a problem?
