Hi,

I have query regarding PWM trip .In our project we are using 3 pwm for 3 phase motor can trip that 3 pwm at ones . instead of seperate trip.

regards ,

Poonam

  • Hi Poonam,

It is possible for a single trip source such as TZ1 to trip multiple PWM modules. Each PWM has access to all of the TZ and digital compare submodule trips.

Let me know if you need further assistance with your configuration.

    Thank you,

    Luke

  • Hi, do this what we need to do

  • Hi Poonam,

We have several resources available for you to be able to better understand the EPWM Trip Zone and help with your setup:

    • For general familiarity with the Trip Zone (TZ) module, read through the TZ section of our C2000 Academy EPWM page.
    • For a more in depth look at the function and configuration of TZ, you can read up on TZ in your device's Technical Reference Manual (TRM). The TZ section starts on page 1879 of the F28004x TRM.
    • There is also a quick video on using EPWM TZ that you can watch.
    • Finally, we have existing software examples in C2000WARE that utilize TZ. Reviewing and utilizing these examples can assist you in your configuration. In your C2000WARE folder, navigate to examples > f28004x > epwm > epwm_ex1_trip_zone

Let me know if you have further questions.

    Regards,

    Allison
