Automotive MCU recommendation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS570LC4357

Does TI have an Automotive MCU that has at least 60 GPIO pins available, 2 I2C ports and at least 1 CAN port.

I would also like it to be in the same family that you provide a BMS Controller MCU?

  • Hi Jiri,

TMS570 are high-performance automotive-grade MCU for Safety-Critical applications. It has dual-core lockstep CPUs With ECC-protected memories. Some TMS570 devices have 1 I2C, >3 CAN and >60 GPIOs. TMS570LC4357 has 2 I2C, 4 CAN modules, and >60 GPIOs. Those device has two high-end timer (NHET) modules, and NHET can be configured to emulate I2C, UART, and SPI etc.

AM26x MCU has 4 I2C, 4 CAN modules, and up to 140 GPIO pins.

TI has BMS demos using TMS570 and AM263x.
