I am working with a F2830x controlCard with the TMS28035 DSP through the TI Docking Station USB-EMU [R3]. I am trying to configure the boot mode of the DSP so it will boot to Flash on Reset. According to the schematics for these boards, the controlCard has two switches that can be used to set the boot mode. The docking station as a three jumpers that are used to set the boot mode. Finally, the DSP spec indicates that if the JTag adapter is attached, you can set the bootmode by setting values for the EMU_KEY and the EMU_BMODE.
The control card switches are both on (boot to flash), I am not using any of the jumpers on the docking station. I've used the macro EMU_BOOT_FLASH() in the OnReset() macro that is included with the TMS320C2800.gel file.
1. Which of these methods (or combination of methods) are required to set the DSP in the boot to flash mode when connected to the JTag?
2. Which of these methods (or combination of methods) are required to set the DSP in the boot to flash mode when not connected to the JTag?
3. If the JTag is physically connected ot the docking station, but the debugger is not in communication with the Jtag (ie Connected), will the DSP still be in emulator mode?
Thanks
